Jock Paget Clinic 2014

This weekend Toffee, Louisa and I made the trek up to Waipukurau so that Toffee could attend a two day clinic with Jock Paget. Both horse and rider had a successful weekend and have come home with some great homework. We were very pleased with how Toffee equipped herself on both days. By the end of Day 1 she was pretty tired as she had probably jumped more in the one day than she has over the period of her entire ridden life! The weather was not particularly kind with gusty gale force winds that were strong enough to topple the jumps at times but horse and rider coped admirably.

Day 2 was cross country and so we headed off to Arran Station. Toffee had a few moments of anxiety when she could no longer see her travelling buddy and new BFF Chrome but she settled at the float and we were able to leave her and wander out and watch some other riders which presented such a great learning opportunity. When Toffee's turn came, she tried very hard and was very brave. We love the Toffmonsta!
