An after school ride

Amy is loving having her own pony again and Rusty is settling in beautifully. I think they're going to make a great pair. I rode for close to three years before I ever had the luxury of a saddle so know how beneficial bareback riding can be for your balance and feel when on a horse. I was also a few years older and stronger than Amy when I started riding so, I have promised that she can have a saddle again for their next ride - the weather forecast for the coming week is really awful so not sure when that might be!

It was a bit windy and Rusty still not 100% sure about this whole 'new family/home' thing but Amy was so desperate to have a go that we brought him in for a quick ride. Here are the photos:

We have a winner AND a new family member!

It is with much pleasure that I can announce the winner of the 'Win a Free Breeding to Crossiebeg Brennan' competition is Kendra Muir's very lovely thoroughbred mare, Honey (photo above). Congratulations Kendra, we cannot wait to meet Honey! We had some really super applicants and wish we could offer them all a free breeding - It was very hard to make a final decision! The competition was so popular, we are thinking that we may very well run another one in the future.

Today we have also welcomed a new member into the family. Rusty is a gorgeous Section A Welsh pony and is Amy's new riding pony. Hopefully I will get MY Meg back now, haha!
